Miguel Amado (born 1959) is an Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico of University of Lisbon. Is responsible for the GEOTPU.LAB, research group based on the Technical Higher Institute.
Amado received his BA in Architecture on Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon and the MSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Planning; and the PhD in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2015 obtained the qualification of Habilitation in Architecture by Instituto Superior Técnico. Is post-graduated by the MAB UNESCO - Systems Group in Rehabilitation of Urban Centres.
